Superintendent Office

Greetings Romulus Families,

Welcome to the start of the 2019/2020 school year! Each year is an opportunity to reflect, grow, and improve. This year, we are growing and improving by leaps and bounds!

Our Capital Project is coming to an end and our new spaces are wonderful! Thank you for supporting RCS throughout the project. Our secondary media center, cafeteria, nurse’s office, band room, second floor classrooms and elementary gymnasium are nearly complete with total renovations. The track, soccer field, and outdoor pathways are spectacular! Other improvements include new lavatories, digital signage, a back-up power generator, LED lighting for the stage and more. Finishing touches in most areas are taking place through September. The elementary gym will be completed by early November. Please plan to visit us at Open House on September 18th to see many of our new spaces.

This year we are launching a new Twitter hashtag #RCSAllIn which is short for “All Students, Every Day, All In.” You will see examples in our Twitter feed of students and staff being “All In” to the work of teaching & learning in their everyday actives at RCS. See our feed at the school website at www.romuluscsd.org or follow us on twitter at RomulusCSD. Our goal is to share and celebrate RCS activities over social media on a daily basis.

I am proud to see the support and investment our staff & community make in our school. As we look forward to this year and many more ahead, we value these partnerships as the core of what makes RCS such a wonderful experience for students. Please know we continue to have sound resources managed wisely for the future of the district. Our administration and staff are striving to improve and expand our programs. While changes are a part of our professional environment we’ve come to expect, our commitment to students never changes. Each year we learn and grow to make RCS better. May the excitement of a new year be with all of you! We hope to see you at open house, concerts, games, shows, and all the rest of the events of the year.
